Our Story

Decades of experience. What we've learned.

Cortical was founded on decades of combined executive leadership and consulting experience leading organizations, teams, and functions through growth, change, and complexity, and helping other executives do the same.

That experience surfaced a consistent pattern: organizations with similar people, resources, and strategy still perform very differently. The difference usually isn't strategy - it's how the organization is structured, how teams work together, and how leaders lead under pressure.

A deeper interest in the science behind how people think, decide, and perform under pressure sharpened that understanding, and shaped how Cortical works today: a core team of senior advisors, each brought in based on what an engagement actually requires.
